What an honour to achieve a Gold Award for our Blakes Always Organic original Kefir at the 2023 Blas na hÉireann, Irish Food Awards, the biggest competition for quality Irish produce on the island of Ireland. With over 3000 products entered, we scooped two gold awards for our own Blakes Always Organic brand and also for the Simply Better Irish Organic Kefir Milk that we make for Dunnes Stores.
To emerge as a gold medallist at these awards is a significant achievement, given the rigorous judging process which focuses on taste, aroma, texture, and visual appeal. “Winning not one, but two Gold Awards at the Blas na hÉireann is a testament to the hard work our team puts into every product,” said John Brennan, cofounder of Blakes Always Organic. “Being recognised among such a vast and competitive field sets our kefir apart as a leader in taste and quality.
The Blas na hÉireann awards, held annually in Dingle, are seen as a benchmark of excellence and help consumers identify the best of the Irish marketplace.
